Can’t wait for this to be blocked again, pissing away money to all of our surrounding states.

    It’s good to see some new talking points about it. She states that lobbying isn’t the issue. I’ve heard this too that the tavern League is not the problem. The problem are a few major poltical leaders.cough Voss cough.

    And it’s really great to hear that multiple Republicans do want to legalize it. I’m just confused what is wrong with crossing party lines it’s clearly a bipartisan issue at this point.

    But maybe Voss really is the scary shadow looming over them.

      It’s Vos. There’s enough Republican support for it to happen otherwise.

      Tavern League became a boogyman over on the Reddit counterpart to this corner of Lemmy, but they don’t seem to care much in practice. Now, drunk driving laws and COVID restrictions are a different story.

    im some way, the legalization status of weed tells you a lot about the place you’re living in: if it’s still somehow illegal in your state at this stage; there’s something very wrong with your state and you should consider leaving if you want to maintain your sanity.
