I’m confuse. Feel free to correct me but, can we call this a console? Isn’t this just a glorify wi-fi monitor with commands who need the ps5 to do everything?

the part that makes it more blurry is that cloud gaming is gonna be more of a thing, and this is basically that. is a switch playing resident evil village not a console? it’s just streaming the game after all.

right now I think we all agree this is just an accessory, but it’s a weird time

I wonder if there are people who are buying this because they think it’s an actual handheld console.

This article says that this device is sooooo great, but yet they never showed the specs on it. The only info I got from this is that it has an 8inch screen

How many units before they were “sold out”? Is there a number? Maybe Sony estimated 1 million preorders but 2 million preordered, just for an example. Also, how can you be “sold out” for preorders. Just give them a later shipping date.

All this “sold out” is just for marketing. I could build only 10 and be sold out.

Struggling to see the use case for this still. Outside of households with 1 TV maybe?

Or maybe a lot of people are actually using remote play on their phones and Sony knows there’s demand for this with a better device…

I was hoping this would be an updated port of Portal, but I guess not.
