More BS sa kabila: Tax the freelancers daw.

Pano mo itatax mga freelancers when most of them barely have a stable job/income, heck even a job? Kung meron man, it’s below the annual tax threshold. Wala rin silang benefits that regular employees have like life insurance, HMO, 13/14th month pay, bonuses, allowances to cover their electricity/internet/aircon, and so on. And some freelancers actually file their taxes, otherwise they lose out on visa and other perks that require an ITR.

Masama lang loob mo kasi nakakakita ka nagpopost sa social media na freelancer kuno making this and that when they’re either lying or not representative of the freelancer industry as a whole.

Ang dapat tina-tax viciously are the top 1%. Wag ka maging mouthpiece para sa mga mayayaman by blabbering yet another solution that creeps on your fellow poor Filipino.

Independent content creators are barely making a minimum wage in a day. Maswerte lang kapag may kumuhang talent agency sa mga iyan o may mag-sponsor na NordVPN, pero uso ba yan dito sa Pinas (not). BIR thought having a presence online made millions. #TaxTheRich

Ang cringe talaga sa kabila lol

Yup, porke nakakita sila isang influencer na nagyayabang ng 5million/day, may sweeping generalization na kaagad to tax the YouTubers. Content creators that make the big bucks are independently wealthy to begin with or celebrities or have big jugs/blessed with gluta drips by default. Mangilan-ngilan lang yung “yumaman” dahil sa YouTube, maybe even barely 0.3%.

Those who do make some money, it’s about equivalent to the monthly salary of a BPO worker… and again, wala sila benefits so that money isn’t even as high as you think.

most content creators have day jobs. their internet lives are just for hobby and/or entertainment purposes. masses took their opinions personally, and it’s depressing to witness the entertainment industry became the staple of real world pov.

That’s true. But I do think some (particularly low-income earners) turned it into a full-time job because of how time consuming filming and editing is, and YouTube algorithm pretty much forcing you to upload frequently.

Of course, hindi natin sinasabi na tama ginagawa nila or kinukunsinte natin. We’re just saying na there’s a reason behind it and by regurgitating this same old question again and again as well as agreeing with the legislators pitching “No Parking, No Car” bills, you are unwittingly supporting the uncreative and inutile politicos. Isama mo na rin mga wealthy who don’t have these problems because they can hoard vehicles to not be inconvenienced by whatever traffic management schemes concocted.

as time goes by, parami nang parami ang mga sasakyan to the point matatagalan ang pagpasok ng isang kotse sa highway na used to be 30 secs tops waiting lang, ngayon more than a minute or two na, minsan five. i resent our being car culture,

This circles back to the government. Bad transport breeds motorcycles and cars. Number coding schemes lead to more cars. Giving exemptions to those with purchasing power equals more cars, albeit better than fossil fuels I guess.

our government let this to happen for decades. it’s disgusting. why we can’t have limit of car ownership for every household? why our transport system is so limited? why we don’t have proper parking spaces? are our roads future-proof?

            are our roads future-proof?

No because one of the things they like to do is to “repair” the roads for kickbacks.

Also, they don’t care about the transport systems because they don’t use them.

If there’s one type of post that I’m absolutely sick of at r/ph it’s the “Inflation is real” with matching portion size pic in fast food establishments. Yes we get it, prices are getting higher while portion sizes are getting smaller. You don’t have to remind us almost every fucking week.

When they (“they” as in anyone who complains about inflation) do it, it’s mostly as a way to disparage the present administration complete with another shot at those who voted for him. Inflation is inevitable, kahit sino pa nakaupo. Jeepney’s won’t be P1.50 forever, your 2-piece chicken meals aren’t going to be P90 until the day you die, businesses will always think of ways to make a profit when their margins are affected so if that means cutting the siomai pieces to 2 from 4 or using less sugar, they will do it.

Complaining about inflation is unintentionally praising the good old days of Marcos Sr. when he was just fresh off a reset button. If there’s anyone to blame, it’s the corporations. Heck, they should be adjusting your salary to compensate for inflation.

buy fresh produce and meat and cook 'em home. ang dali lang naman magluto ng tinolang isda, di yan aabutin ng 15mins.

        mas cheaper and healthy pa.

Na-mark as delivered yung parcel ko ng mga 8PM, pero di ko natanggap. May proof of delivery na malabong picture na walang makitang details and halatang hindi on destination and maling package.

Nag-reply yung rider the next day na nahulugan daw siya ng parcels at kasama yung sa’kin. Pwede daw ba bayaran na lang niya? Pumayag naman ako and nagsend ako ng details. Mga 5-7 days daw yung processing.

After 5 days, wala pang update, so nagsabi ako na ipa-process ko na lang officially since ayoko maabutan ng auto-tag as received.

Hindi siya dumating by the 7th day and di na ulit nagreply ulit yung rider sa messages.

Nag-process ako officially and na-mark as accepted yung request for refund ko after a couple of hours.

Less than 300 lang yung item, di actually worth it sa sakit ng ulo.

Don’t have Spotify since I prefer to stream losslessly via Plex. I only have two 2023 albums constantly played, and it’s by Maisie Peters and the comeback from In Flames.

Minsan nga napapagbintangan ako na scammer with my system of 1) payment first, and 2) delivery/pickup only. Hassle kasi yung pupunta si rider, tatawag/magpipicture back and forth, tapos saka ko pa lang sisilipin payment. Hindi mo kasi pwede ibilin unlike with my system that as long as paid they can pick up at any time.

Yes, I know talamak mga scammer, but my feedback speaks for itself and the pickup point is my house and not the Barangay Hall. If you have a bad feeling then I highly recommend buying somewhere else.

Yup. I’d rather sell to someone next year than today but not have them read the ad then pag nakuha na ang daming reklamo. Not like he’s going to have one, but buyers are often weird and unreasonable.

I was watching the news earlier and I’ve always wondered why people give interviews to the media. If my family gets massacred, the last thing I want to do is speak to a reporter. Not today, not ever. Conversely, a suspect saying “nagawa ko lang dahil sa mahigpit na pangangailangan” doesn’t do him any favors.

Some people need to feel heard, especially if something tragic has happened and they’re looking for justice, pero walang recourse.

Edit: I guess weird lang pag kapitbahay yung gustong gusto magpa-interview ala Eminem’s character in Forgot About Dre.
