I’m not sure what comic it’s specifically from but the character on the left is Punisher and the one on the right is Moon Knight. Both “heroes” but people who often test the limits of that designation. Punisher is filled with rage and hate and vengeance. Moon Knight is similar but is also objectively insane. Not the Deadpool level of silly but similar levels of unhinged.

The Punisher is the very definition of an anti-hero. The last name on his list is his own. He understands that he literally shouldn’t exist, but has to because society has, at the upper echelons, become so corrupt that only an immortal and nearly invulnerable being could possibly try to take them down.

Regardless, Frank Castle views himself as part of the problem, and will absolutely execute himself as soon as there are no more corrupt rich people or politicians in his world.

Edit: I know basically nothing about Moon Knight. I kinda look at him as a Deadpool type character. Insignificant enough that one can completely ignore him, but he just keeps popping up for some reason, mostly because he can swear from what I can tell, and yes, this applies to both Moon Kinght, and Deadpool.

Ok the dialogue is fantastic. But these characters are 100% backwards! Seriously, the tanky looking guy should be the paladin and the cloaked and hooded guy should be the rogue. Plus if we’re giving The Punisher a dnd class, paladin is basically a perfect fit. Chaotic good.

Ummm… The “Tanky Looking Guy” is The Punisher. This is a dude that literally tells cops that he’s a vigilante that executes cops that try to emulate him. His hitlist has one name at the very end. Frank Castle understands that once he is finally done executing the rich and the corrupt, that there is still one name left on his list. That name is Frank Castle.

That’s no paladin. If anything that’s a living revenant.

That’s totally a paladin. One that understands that by doing what he does, he becomes the very thing he seeks to destroy, hence the last name on the list. He lives by a strict moral code. He’s lawful neutral.

I always assumed that “lawful” is relative to the society one lives in/comes from. And if that’s the case then the Punisher is anything but. He’s living by some law, alright, but not law of others around him.

He’s accusing Moon Knight’s god, specifically, of being imaginary, on account of him maybe being imaginary in the initial runs.

Marc Spector is insane, full stop. It was a very large element of the initial runs that Konshu might just be a symptom of his mental illness.

And, fun fact, he does have alters that impersonate Konshu, so even though Konshu was eventually confirmed as “real” it might not actually be him speaking at various points.

I feel like Egypt worshipping him pretty firmly establishes Khonshu as real. Whoever heard of a religion worshipping fake gods? But I guess it makes sense that Frank might think he’s worshipping an imaginary version of Khonshu and not the real one.

I actually really liked the moon knight series, it was a weird find considering marvel had just Disneyfied so hard at that point
