Everybody but Trump wants the trials before the election. :)

You’d think if he was innocent he’d want to clear his name before voting too!

Any reasonable person would want this to be settled before the next election. Sadly the venn diagram of reasonable people and people who vote for Trump is just two completely separate circles.

They’re fine with the world being unfair, as long as they think it’s unfair to their advantage.

His trial is already overdue, especially compared to the many already convicted J6 insurrectionists.

It would seem logical that Trump would want to demonstrate - once and for all in a court of law - that he is innocent of any wrongdoing as soon as possible so as to not have it hanging over him in the race. Mr. Smith is merely offering him that opportunity.

it’s only been nearly 4 years since the crime, surely he should be taking it a bit slower, we still have a few years left in the statute of limitations.

A personal appeal: please don’t feed the trolls. Just block them. The more you respond the more you vindicate their desire to feel persecuted.

They should feel persecuted. They’re being persecuted for being dog shit human beings and I feel like we shouldn’t hide that. Shame them into understanding not only are they horrible people but that the rest of us aren’t gonna put up with it

I mean, there is an argument to be made that discrimination is not only legal but also appropriate when dealing with criminal anti-social behavior.

I think everyone pretty much knows why it hasn’t happened yet.

Make sure to vote in this upcoming election.

Trump should already be in prison & would be if Merrick fucking Garland didn’t drag his feet for two years.

Merrick Garland is still the current US Attorney General, and was the one who appointed Jack Smith as the Special Counsel, so how is this relevant?

Because if Garland hadn’t dragged his feet and refused to allow the DOJ to investigate this in a timely fashion, we could already be into Trump’s appeals by now. Garland has only reluctantly allowed this prosecution to go forward, and only because Democrats in Congress forced his hand by revealing to the public just how strong the evidence is of Trump’s criminal culpability.

We shouldn’t have had to wait this long for this to come to trial.
