This is my love letter to Final Fantasy VII.
I remember playing it all those years ago, with my cousin on an old CRT TV.
I remember the Playstation wasn’t even mine, it was my uncle’s.
I remember alighting from that train with Barret.
I remember destroying the Mako Reactor in Sector 7.
I remember trying to time the button presses to open the door.
I remember going back to Seventh Heaven, to talk about the morality of what Cloud and the party had done.
I remember the music, gameplay and characters. They all endeared me within the first few hours of the game.
Seven memories, among seven thousand more.
And now, we are reexperiencing all these memories in Remake and Rebirth, many years in the future, with all the love, care and attention to detail it deserves. To all the developers, artists, composers and every single hand that contributed to the development of Remake and Rebirth, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Because of your hardwork, Final Fantasy VII has become more than just a memory.
Thank you!
