The alt-universe thing seems to have stopped for now.
Yuri, the fox, finally goes back to her home village to confront her past.
The characters talk about aging, and death, and how fleeting human life is.

I interpreted that Mutsumi sees Jiro as something akin to a replacement for her missing Dad. But the wording of this episode about responding to her feelings gives me Usagi Drop PTSD. I really enjoy this series and don’t want to live in constant fear that this turns into something like that.
