In the mid 90s X Files was at the height of it’s fame so they asked Chris Carter to create a new series and gave him a budget of 1.5 million per episode. They expected lightning to strike twice, they got this show, it stars Lance Henrikson as Frank Black a former FBI investigator who now works for a secret organization called Millenium Group and he helps them catch serial killers and violent criminals, Frank has a dark gift he has a power, as he looks over crime scenes he can see through the criminals eyes and see exactly how the crimes unfolded. It was a pretty dark and violent show and often bleak and joyless. In the second season sometimes the show dealt with apocalyptic themes and demons and started to focus a bit more on what the Millenium Groups true intent may be. It was a fantastic show that I wish lasted longer than it did

There was tons of hype for this show during the summer before the new fall season arrived and people weren’t sure what to expect, most of the commercials were kind of vague and cryptic and only giving hints of characters or even what the plot of the show could be. Initially ratings were pretty big but the ratings began to fall as the show went on. It was overall a great series one of the best that ever aired on FOX back in the mid 90s. FOX used to air lots of shows back in the day that other networks would never try to do, most of these failed but back then the network wasn’t afraid to take risks
