👀Russian D-30 howitzer with anti-drone screen and dynamic tank protection. Dynamic protection, in essence, is blocks of plastic that explode towards the cumulative stream of anti-tank ammunition and deflect it to the side. Placing this protection on anything other than the powerful armor of a tank is fraught with even greater damage to the “protected” object. Published by Balu.

ERA… Near exposed troopers and 152mm shells?
The cannon is more valuable to russian commanders than their troops or shells.
I feel like this post belongs on !noncredibledefense@sh.itjust.works with absolutely zero changes. Just…the complete disaster that would occur if the ERA ever actually triggers here…

How should such a bullet do that? And why would it ever hit such a weapon in the first place?

No, the explosive is too insensitive. It does not simply blow up on the first chance. It needs a strong initiation like from a HEAT jet or APFSDS, both not only larger but also much faster than a bullet (much higher energy input). Which is also why you can put them next to each other without getting a chain reaction when one goes off.

Not sure if anyone has ever made a .50 with a shaped charge, but likely yes, that should work.
Well, the Ukrainians won’t be capturing this gun, that’s for sure.
Genuinely thought that’s where I was until I saw this comment
Lmao what is the plan there with the ERA…? I’m honestly kinda curious.

Sort of looks like a funny-car that got converted into a rat-rod.
Why have they taking the photos with a very fake Bokeh effect?
The surroundings are blurred to avoid geolocation.
But it’s not a fixed installation so why does geolocation matter
