During his press conference at his Bedminster, N.J., property, Trump was asked by multiple journalists about criticism from some Republicans that he needs to be more disciplined and lay off the personal attacks on Harris. He responded that he was “entitled to personal attacks.”

The Harris campaign criticized the event, saying he had “a stream of not-much-consciousness” and then “it did not get better” when he took questions.

“At his country club, Donald Trump, huffed and puffed his opposition to lowering food costs for middle and working class Americans and prescription drug costs for seniors before pivoting back to his usual lies and delusions,” spokesperson James Singer said.

    ‘whatever that was’

Weird as hell is what it was. We’re watching Trump melt down like butter on a grill. And “a stream of not-much-consciousness” is pure gold.

lol genuine question: what the fuck is wrong with people who STILL think trump is going to listen to anyone who tells him anything other than everything he’s doing is perfect, and exactly the right thing to do

It’s a wonderfully baited question. If he agrees he admits he’s undisciplined and isn’t being effective. If he disagrees he gives more ammunition to the unhinged, old man losing his mind narrative.

Even without the obvious fact that trump never backs down it’s so good to make the news cycle about him losing (his mind or polls)

Honestly, I’m starting to think that he’s just a contrarian whenever a question is phrased like that

Ahead of Trump’s speech, the campaign mocked the former president, releasing a media advisory saying that he was set to “hold another public meltdown” and “deliver another self-obsessed rant.”

Were they always putting this stuff out there, and I was missing it?
Because this should have been their message from the get go.

Nah, the Harris campaign seems to be a lot more politically savvy and aware that trying for bipartisanship like Biden did is a wasted effort.

They’ve also figured out that the way to make Trump lose his shit repeatedly is to not react to his bullshit in any way except dismissiveness. Make an off-handed burn comment and then move on with your own platform like the senile old fuck doesn’t even deserve more than that.

Comments like “Whatever that was” and “Can’t run a livestream”, etc… is just the perfect off-hand snark to use because it turns him into a joke, but doesn’t lessen his threat. It’s a position of “Can you fucking believe that this joke of a human is actually a threat to our democracy people? Like WTF” is basically the gist of her snark remarks. And it’s totally having the effect they want.

More that they couldn’t say this when Biden wasnt making any sense either.

Now that the Dem candidate can string two sentences together and remember what the first sentence was, it’s safer to be realistic about trump.

It was always these easy, Biden just was holding us back.

when Biden wasnt making any sense either.

Similarly, Prez Biden has had a stammer in his speech since birth; he’s just hidden it better. The biggest sign of decline is that he’s not hiding it. Combined with a rabid-jackal press interface that Mr Trump doesn’t see, it makes Prez Biden look far worse than he is. When allowed to form a freakin’ thought, he makes good decisions; in a time when that seems so rare.

Having said that, optics are everything, and the campaign was at risk of losing a decent leader and lifelong politician for one that can mumble into a microphone louder and only presents in public as a completely terrible human being and leader and manager.

Nah. What’s even more fun is seeing George Conway run ads with messages like this on TV shows and channels that T**** is known to watch.

So, Cheeto-dick Chump sits to watch a golf tournament on TV and he ends seeing himself sounding like an idiot and being called weird.

I’m seeing a phenomenon that starting to show up in real-life.

Trump supporters who suddenly have decided we’re “all Americans” now, and maybe the center of politics has always been the only thing we’ve wanted.

First of all - yeah, whatever - but secondly: they’re bailing.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not getting excited or hopeful (what, I am not, shut up) but it is a very good sign.
