He had parts in all three Treehouse of Horror segments. He was one of the workers in the haunted house segment and the alien chef with Kang and Kodos in the other segment.
How soon will @ThirdWorldOrder@feddit.nl go on lemmy.world to whine about the authoritarian tankies?
Nah, that’s not their real name. From one of their past streams, it’s an incredibly generic name like Brad Smith or something.
This partly explains the Sino-Soviet split. Despite their differences, Mao respected Stalin, but he did not respect Khrushchev at all.
I still maintain that skibidi toilet is very obvious something came up by a zoomer and that it doesn’t really resemble stuff that millennials liked back in the day. The fact that it has a plot and an overarching theme while being dystopian already distances itself from lol randumb XD humor.
I think what’s happening is that the creator might be a zoomer, but the target audience is gen alpha. It’s like how a lot of early Newgrounds stuff were created by gen x but consumed by millennials. The first by-millennials-for-millennials creations were ytp which were created by millennials who were exposed to older Newgrounds stuff.
It’s extra cringe for a zoomer to shit on skibidi toilet because it’s very much a product of zoomer meme culture.
Sh.itjust.works is just reactionaries thinking they’re funny for naming their instance the SJW instance and programming.dev is filled with STEMlords.
The news and trans megas forming a united front against the l*dditor hordes.
Kraut cope
Whoops, I meant TSMC. Thanks for the correction.
Damn, I guess you like authoritarianism but only when it’s authoritarianism that your side is doing.
The high point of Taiwanese separatism was in 2019 when Tsai Ing-wen, despite being unpopular and almost getting primaried by the current Taiwanese president, was able to ride on the fears of the Hong Kong protests to win the presidency in 2020. After that, separatists have eaten nothing but L’s since then.
They got BTFO in the 2022 local elections, topping it off with Chiang Kai-shek’s bastard great-grandson getting elected as mayor of Taipei. This also means he has presidential ambitions, so a funny outcome would be Taiwan having a third president from the Chiang family.
They ate shit in the 2024 legislative elections and don’t have a majority in the Yuan.
They got their president elected with a crappy plurality made worse by all the 16-17 year old TPP supporters who can’t vote because they’re too young, meaning his popularity is even weaker than it looks.
Taiwanese zoomers, basically the people who are of conscript age, are voting for TPP instead, which ruins the DPP’s plan of replacing the KMT through age demographic changes. Just because the KMT is going to be the party of irrelevant boomers doesn’t mean your party will get the zoomers.
The ROC military has openly displays signs of disloyalty including a retired general saying they should simply coup the DPP and various officers repeatedly getting bribed by the PRC to lay down their arms. It turns out accusing the KMT, of which the ROC military is politically, culturally, and historically aligned with, of selling out to the PRC in order to win votes for your presidential election has far-reaching consequences.
The combination of the Taiwanese economy stagnating and the dumpster fire with TSMC attempting to build a factory in Arizona is forcing Taiwanese business to push harder towards the status quo, where they can get favorable trade deals with the PRC.
Yes, the DPP is authoritarian for shutting down Taiwanese news stations that refuse to toe a pro-separatist line and must be overthrown in order for democracy to flourish. DPP politicians should fear for their lives.
PS. I can see your comment in my inbox and reply from there but when I’m on my post your comment doesn’t appear. Some odd Lemmy thing?
I have no idea why that would happen. Probably something weird about Lemmy.
As for Waydroid, it’s kinda finicky in how to start. Use something like btop or ps aux|grep waydroid to check whether you have multiple processes that are all running waydroid session start. It should just be two processes: /usr/bin/waydroid -w container start and /usr/bin/waydroid session start. I remember I had multiple /usr/bin/waydroid -w container start that I had to kill before it worked for the first time.
The devs behind Waydroid also have their own distro set up for Waydroid. You can try that as well: https://waydro.id/#wdlinux
I was able to get Waydroid to work in a Debian VM, so unless there’s something weird about how VirtualBox handles things, Waydroid shouldn’t care whether it’s running in a VM or not.
What happens when you run waydroid status or waydroid show-full-ui?
The vast majority of both-sideism is done by reactionaries trying to hide their reactionary politics from their audience. There’s absolutely nothing about him that indicates he’s anything but a generic techbro with the politics of a generic techbro. Just skimming the comment section of his Youtube video just has the usual people whining about politics, which is rich considering that FLOSS has always been political no matter how much the OS part of FLOSS try to pretend that it isn’t so.
Someone gifted me with some old iPad that’s more than 10 years old. What steps should I take to install Linux on the iPad?
Windows 11 was officially released. That giant spike in late 2021 almost perfectly matched when Windows 11 was released. The Steam Deck was released in early 2022. So, from the graph, I would say the two main contributing factors are Windows 11 sucking to no one’s surprise and the Steam Deck exposing people to Linux gaming.
Also, funny how even reddit allows r/Piracy but not .world lol
Imagine being even more of a corporate simp that Reddit lmao
This map is terrible for East Asia (and probably everywhere else). Tibet had a kingdom that was established around 500 BC. Both the states of Ba and Shu were kingdoms as well that were only conquered by the state of Qin in 316 BC. Really the parts of the map that form modern China should just be entirely orange/blue except the northeast which should be purple. Like who the fuck is farming in Manchuria with 500 BC tech?
This map sucks.
