1·3 个月前Maybe he has been replaced by an android like Biden?
I’ve eaten half raw chicken before and it’s disgusting. I’m poor so I still finished it but I do wonder if people actually enjoy it.

World News@lemmy.world•Public transport cost pushes Britons to fly abroad for day tripsEnglish
74·3 个月前Ideally it should be supported without deficit or profit by its users. A lot of these old services also accumulate inefficiencies over time that should be pruned from time to time
Mamdani brings a little hope that there are politicians willing to fight back.
You are in Fascist America right now. If you think the neolib democrats are going to save you, you’re wrong. They have done nothing but roll out the red carpet for this fascist regime (for a nominal fee, of course.)

1·3 个月前I feel like the writing is on the wall and people are trying to grift as much as they can. The conservatives are an easier target. But yeah, fascism is here in full and if you’re not trying to grab as much as you can, while you can, you may end up in a camp.

Canada@lemmy.ca•Carney taking a 'cautious' position in comments about sending troops to Ukraine
3·3 个月前Canada has a voice in the coalition for Ukraine peace. We should make a strong argument for providing nukes to provide a permanent long-term security guarantee. Unless you think having troops in Ukraine indefinitely is a better idea.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•The people developing vegan meat alternatives must have eaten a lot of meat beforehand so they can replicate the taste and texture.
8·3 个月前I think a lot of these kinds of products are for hosting vegans. I don’t find them tasting good enough to acquire over making something that’s actually delicious. But it is nice to eat some burgers with the family.

31·3 个月前Just give Ukraine nukes. Security guarantee without risking our troops.
Is that like saying Star Trek is more of a Western show with a sci-fi setting?
I’m from the sticks. For me, a carpet of grass is a nice luxury once in a while, as a treat.

12·3 个月前I’m actually not sure if all believe in the project. I say this because internet influencers are a big deal and the loudest and most obnoxious ones get the most clicks. It’s like news anchors reading off a teleprompter, it’s not their personal views, it’s just their job reading aloud.
“Danmit, Antony, I keep telling you I ain’t garbage! I’m just the groundskeeper.”
Are ant colonies one of the best displays of what a communist state could look like?

12·3 个月前What if I would say anything for money regardless of the content? If I was speaking fascist talking points without actually believing in it would it make me a fascist or something else? There is a difference, no, even if it amounts to the same end?
Is that actually good? I’ve just eaten plain bread with water. Mind you, I usually just bake my own bread and it comes out delicious as is.

12·3 个月前Probably. I get the feeling he’s more enthusiastic about being a propaganda head and will say anything for a buck or a spotlight.

We have an issue with definitions and terminologies that get mixed up really frequently to the common layman. I used to think liberal meant “left” before I knew better.
