I think that was a recent change, then, cause I know for sure they used to allow ‘?’ in folder names. It was such a pain to debug that particular error.

I use synctging for other stuff, so for me it was a bit of a nobrainer to use it for obsidian too. I have run into some issues. Notably with trash. It will very often try, and fail, to sync trashed files. I have to put a lot of stuff in the ignore field for all my files to make it stop spitting out errors all the time. I think the best part of it though is that it works so smoothly the rest of the time. I almost never even need to think about it nowadays, now that I’ve got it all setup.

Just be aware that there are some characters that obsidian allows in file and folder names that cause syncthing to throw a fit. Like question marks. Oh god why do question marks cause so many issues in syncthing its awful.

I can’t stand how movies and TV shows depict people. Nobody talks like that in real life, or walks like that. They don’t make those facial expresions, or say those words. It just makes them deeply unnerving for me. Its weird, because other people either don’t notice it at all or even prefer it for some reason.

Huh, I hadn’t realized, but that explanation does a lot to explain why I haven’t enjoyed his videos as much these last few years as I used to.

It took me way to long to realize that was a scarf and not an absurdly large grin. Guess everything looks the sane when you have your phone on black and white mode.

The plot sucks and the characters are forgettable, but that’s not the point. The point is the graphics, the locations, the crazy wildlife and eywa. The neural queues and the floating islands. Its a masterclass in world building, and has been an endless source of inspiration.

Literally the only thing interesting is the serial reincarnation of the Avatar, the disability representation in Toph, and that weird demigod of misfortune people call the cabbage merchant.

Literally everything else sucks. The graphics are meh, the lore is forgettable, the magic system is somehow both overly complicated and restrictive, the characters are cringy and uncomfortable, Aang’s pacifism is infuriating, and the plot even more so.

Personally, the James Cameron movie is far superior. Not because of its characters or story. God no. But its worldbuilding is far superior. Eywa and the neural queues the Na’vi and the other local flora and fauna have has been a genuine inspiration to so many of my world building projects its crazy.

The visuals are crazy impressive too for the time period, and those floating mountains are just gorgeous.

Really, ATLA sucks in comparison, and I hate it when people slander the true Avatar just to push up their own cringy mess.

I did work experience after school for a few years. Didn’t get paid or anything like that, but I did get an enormous amount of credits. My last year of highschool I only had to take two classes per day, cause I had enough credits that everything else was technically optional and I jumped at the chance to have more free time.

All I had to do was stay after school for an hour and help the custodians.
