There absolutely is a way for a party (or rather the Congress itself) to confine a President to their role, it’s just that Congress finds it much easier to abdicate power to the President than to do their own jobs.

They don’t read or write legislation, or even show up to work half the time. They’re not interested in governing, and they certainly don’t need to be an active or competent legislative body to do their overlords’ bidding. Sitting back and letting the President order a billion more bombs for Israel is perfectly fine for them.

If Congress were a functioning body, they would impeach, legislate, and bind the Executive. Remove Secretariats, restructure offices, difine limits to power and enforce them. They are the first of the three branches for a reason. It’s their job to define the role and powers of the office of the President (and even the Courts), besides of the command of the military during war.

If we’re going to be pedantic about the historical definitions of whiteness, than it should be noted that the concept of race (and especially of “whiteness”) didn’t exist back then. You were either Greek (preferably from one of the more respectable city-states), or a barbarian.

I have come to the conclusion that nobody read my post before downvoting. Do you people think I’m pro car? Do you think I’m pro-surveillance? I said she shouldn’t be driving, I said I hate the surveillance state, what’s wrong with you people? I’m not talking about the right to drive cars, I’m talking about the right to privacy, and the freedom of speech and assembly - there can be no freedom of expression in an open society of the government in power can see and hear and track and record every moment of your life and everyone else’s. There is no room for dissent when your every step is followed by an invisible thug of the state.

I’ll admit to a mistake when one is made, but because I was right I will only admit to that. In not some guardian of truth, I just have a good opinion, which you and everyone else didn’t seem to understand or agree with, either because you’re illiterate or like the surveillance state.

I am not a fan of the all-seeing panopticon, personally. That said, I personally feel much more entitled to good public transit and walkable neighborhoods than to a car.

I’m an enemy of the panoptic surveillance state of course, but at least in this instance the all-seeing eyes of big brother found a worthy target this time. She, and a whole lot more people, shouldn’t be driving cars.

The point of propaganda is to make you stupid. Everyone has been exposed to propaganda of one form or another throughout their life, anyone is susceptible. You don’t have to be stupid to fall for it, but when you do, you are a little (or a lot) more stuoid.
