I mean sure, I do agree. But that’s more an issue in all the western world, than specifically the UK.

I mean, most dishes developed in Britan since the colonial period do contain many spices (eg British-Indian food). Traditional food pre-spices doesn’t, like most traditional food of the northern hemisphere.
I mean fair enough then, I was entirely unaware of that happening. Please do add ‘scary asshole’ to my description if true.
Empanada is not perfect, and holds some incorrect views. But when he’s right he’s good at making it clear.
I’m assuming I missed something… How is deriding Brexit as a total failure and Farage as a grifter, alt-right?
Look at Mr Fancy Plunger Pants over here. Got money and room for a dedicated toilet unblocking majigger. Probably take big poops just so you can satisfiedly unblock the pooper again without using your hands.
Some of us just get our hand in there and get the job done, when my toilet blocked regularly I just used a bin bag as arm protection 'cause it’s what we had. Can’t all live in a big plunger castle like yerself yer majesty.
Why do people buy instant oats at 10-25x the price of a bag of oats?
Oats are already instant, you can just pour normal oats and milk into a bowl and microwave it! Buy them rolled and let them sit in the microwave a little more if you want them goopier. I actually like my oats extra solid so I microwave jumbo oats for like 30s and consume.
This is the attack of “microwave popcorn” all over again.
But the ‘shut down, in an emotional sense’ is the figurative use of the word ‘died’, not the literal kind.
Even if you invent an imaginary authority foisting those words down. Once people use them, acknowledging their use as ‘legitimate’ is the definition of descriptivist.
The only way to oppose such words is to be prescriptive, the correct position.

To be honest, it’s almost certainly reworded or poorly translated from whatever he originally said.
I didn’t realise Linus still wielded this kind of power. That’s kinda rad, I like it.
While I do agree they can, in a small way, help create that idea. There are multiple western voting systems where even undeniably winning the popular vote does not win or lead to mass discontent for failing to be governed by the actually mandated parties. If people aren’t even reacting to that, winning a lot of votes is never going to mean that much.
