13·3 days agoTo be fair, the definition of the word “ceasefire” seems to have changed recently.
What about all the oil, vinegar, and other toppings?
Haha, I was referring to the phishers and scammers that relentlessly inform me of my (nonexistent) recently renewed Geek Squad subscription.
I just have hundreds of Geek Squad invoices to review, if you would like to trade.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you think is the best music video?English
1·5 days agoJust because no one has mentioned it yet, and regardless of what you think of Coldplay’s music, I always thought the music video for The Scientist was impressive. Chris Martin had to learn to sing the song in reverse for the filming of it.
In the US at least, yes, it’s very normal. The oddity would be a park or spot in nature without a bunch of trash.

Mine, in order: soapy tiddies, moth, beans, and corn. I don’t need a fifth.
Am adult child, can confirm.

Ah, the intricacies of multi-pet politics. 🙂
In that case I would probably make something that needs to be refrigerated but then just take out the required dosage (three pockets) as I’m going to bed. No matter what the ingredients are they’ll be fine out of the fridge for a few hours. You could also try rice flour instead of oats.
It looks like Presidio has a line of wheat-free pill pockets for dogs. (They do have barley in the ingredients, though.) Sorry for the Amazon link. They do seem to be available at a few other places as well.
I’m sorry to hear that you and your dog are going through all this (but thanks for paying the appropriate tax - she’s a cutie!). Any reason you can’t just give her the pills in a glob of peanut butter, either all at once or one at a time? Does she find the pill and spit it out?
My first thought is that you need something to bind it all together. Maybe egg or psyllium husk or something? Or maybe you’ll need to bake it for a short while to get it to hold and remove the moisture? I don’t have a good answer for you, but you may want to cross-post to !baking@sh.itjust.works, !glutenfree@lemmy.world, or maybe !cooking@lemmy.world.
ETA: any reason they need to be shelf stable and you can’t refrigerate or freeze them? This page has some good recipe options but they all require refrigeration. And this person uses coconut flour instead of oat, but also refrigerates them.

3·8 days agoHey boss, I’m heading out until the middle of November. And when I return, if you haven’t expressed intent to replace me, I’ll get right to doing my job (questionably). But if you have replaced me then I’ll still collect a check through the end of the year.
Alternatively, a VERY happy everlasting gobstopper. (I don’t know what kind of pills those are.)
Now even the flags have titties
