Hey there! What Thunder version are you currently running? This issue should be fixed with the latest nightly build
Hey there, sorry for the late response and I’m glad you were able to sort it out!
Thunder does expect instances to report back version numbers using semver otherwise it could throw an error. I’ll look into relaxing that constraint in future versions to prevent this from happening!
Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll take that into consideration!

Hey there, could you provide some more details on the issue? For example, the instance you’re connected to, where you’re experiencing long loading times, the Thunder version you’re currently on, etc.
Hey there! I responded already in the corresponding GitHub issue, but just to re-iterate:
Hope that clarifies your questions!

Hey there! Thanks for the report, are you using Gboard as your keyboard by any chance? If so, it might be somewhat related to a recent update with Gboard that’s causing the underlying bug.
A workaround for this issue at the moment is to try tapping on the Shift key a couple of times which should get you out of the span mode temporarily. Or as others have suggested, using space to move the cursor around.
Unfortunately this issue is not directly caused by Thunder but rather the framework that Thunder is built on. See https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/184744 for more information. Once the upstream bug is fixed, I can push out a new update to fix the issue!
Hey there! Just wanted to clarify the differences between the database and settings backup.
The database contains data related to your accounts, favourites, drafts, and user labels. The settings backup contains all of your current Thunder settings. As others have mentioned, settings are global, not on a per-account basis. Hope that clears things up!
Hey there! Sorry for the delayed response - I’ll be removing this source in an upcoming update after the recent controversy surrounding it.

Just an update - I’m rolling out v0.8.6 which should resolve the comment issue. You should receive the update within the next day!
it is apparently impossible to post a comment reply to my own post?
You should be able to reply to your own post if you have the post FAB actions enabled (there should be an action to reply to the post at the bottom of the screen). That being said, I’ll look into implementing an alternative method for those with the FAB actions disabled.

Hey there! I’m aware of this issue and will be releasing a hotfix for this ASAP.

Thank you! I’m still actively working on Thunder (just at a slower pace since I don’t have as much free time) so it’s always really encouraging to hear this kind of feedback.
Thanks for the report!
I’ll be releasing a fix for this issue in the next couple of days. See https://github.com/thunder-app/thunder/pull/2026 for more details.

Hey there! I haven’t had time to post a proper update yet, but I had to roll back the fix for this. It turns out the fix was causing some users to be unable to load the All/Local feeds at all.
This ended up being a bit of a catch-22 situation: I could keep the fix and completely break feeds for some users, or revert it and limit affected instances (running Lemmy v0.19.14) to about ~100 posts.
For now, here are a couple of ways to work around this issue:

Thanks for trying it out! By any chance, do you have “Show Read Posts” unchecked in your account settings? If so, could you try enabling “Show Read Posts” to see if that fixes the loading issue?
Someone else encountered a similar issue and that’s what fixed it for them temporarily. I’ll work on a fix for this and push a new update as soon as I investigate it further.

Thanks for the information! I’m able to reproduce the issue on my end with the details you provided. I’ll try to get a fix out for this soon once I investigate it further.

Hmm strange, I’m still unable to reproduce the issue. Are you experiencing this issue across different instances (e.g., lemmy.world, lemmy.zip, etc.) or is it isolated to one instance in particular? I’m trying to isolate whether this is an instance-specific issue or a more generic issue.
Could you also let me know if it occurs when you’re logged in, logged out, or both? Thanks!

No worries, sorry for the inconvenience!

Hey there! You’re not missing anything - reader mode on Android was temporarily removed with v0.8.2.
For a bit more context, reader mode relied on an external package that’s no longer being actively maintained/updated. This was causing some issues on our end and so it has been disabled for now until we can find a suitable replacement for it. Hope this clears up your question!

Hey there, could you submit a GitHub issue on this with some additional details (e.g., instance, reproducible steps, video recording, Thunder settings, etc.)
I’m unable to reproduce the issue on my end so it could be something more user-specific!
Hey! This issue is only fixed in the pre-release versions at the moment (v0.9.0-4). If you don’t want to switch to a pre-release version, I’m hoping to get v0.9.0 out within the next couple of weeks which should contain the fix as well.
