That’s just how piefed handles permabans, always sets them to 75 years the rest of the century (which since it’s almost 2026 that means 74 years until 2100) instead of how lemmy does it. I’m pretty sure every permaban on piefed will expire in 2100 lol

mobile apps aren’t up to date with the API, but they work well enough so I main this account now. It can be a bit rough on the sides too but that’s to be expected, it only started accelerating development half a year or so and it’s made stunning progress.

AFAIK no. Lemmy.zip is not problematic and SDF largely stays in the background.

I tried to verify this but the only tool for this stuff, defed.xyz, seems to have shut down 4 months ago, shame.

Since you’re here could I ask about the fetching from !newcommunities@lemmy.world? It’s an interesting feature but it assumes LW will always be here, and moreso that specific community will exist. Is there a way to change the community it fetches from, for future proof?

I don’t see LW going any time soon. But I thought the exact same about lemm.ee and was proven wrong, which is why I’m asking. It also assumes that instance is federated with LW, which may not always be the case (as an edge case)

Censuring completely defederates an instance (at least with threativore) and most instances aren’t defederated with ml anyway, so this makes sense:)

Well for anarchist/queer/pro-environment, Lemmy.dbzer0.com slrpnk.net and (kinda) Lemmy.blahaj.zone, not officially but tons of anarchists there.

Another important thing to consider is federation policy (if you’re looking to make accounts there and not just browse comms from your current acc:)). For example Dbzer0 is the most lax and blahaj is the most moderated, not necessarily good or bad it just depends on what you personally want.
