  • If it passes in California; it’s not something that will help. If it doesn’t; or is vetoed, it probably actually had some good policy behind it.

I swear deep blue states are the worst neoliberal shitholes. Zero worry for the Dems in losing their seats. So the elections becomes “who can suck the cock of big tech, Hollywood, and mortgage investment companies the best”

I definitely understand your confusion; this is a common mistaken identity. This African American male is quite similar looking to former US president Barack Obama who served as president from 2008-2016.

However, it is a common misconception and you should not feel bad for making this mistake. The subject in the original image is actually Denzel Washington, the actor, know for famous and beloved movies, included but not limited to Training Day, Moonlight, Get Out, Black Panther, and of course his most famous and most iconic film Ms. Doubtfire — where he plays a divorced father that is desperate to see his children after losing full custody. In this role, Denzel Washington, disguises himself as crossdresser and comedian Robin Williams. As Robin, he takes on a job as his children’s housekeeper and Nanny and gets cream pied in the face.

The “are you autistic” test are the weirdest fucking thing. Every single question I read and look at all the answers and think “well © is definitely the one that would be the most autistic in trait. I definitely am most related to © but am I choosing this because I’m trying to be labeled as autistic? Am I actually more like (b) and I’m just biasing my answers to the point of the test? Why am I trying to be labeled autistic? Maybe I should focus on finding the least autistic answer and filtering that out first. Because I’m definitely not the LEAST autistic. Fuck, I’ll just choose © for this one. I’m overthinking it.”

    Next question.

“Well, I definitely don’t have sensory problems. Wait, what about masking? Am I masking so well I don’t even realize it? I do hate going into a grocery store that I don’t know the layout of. But isn’t that normal? Yeah, I wear earbuds and don’t listen to anything sometimes. But, that’s normal too. Wait, what was the question?”

If I could take a test with someone hearing my inner thoughts, I think I’d be diagnosed before I answered the first question.

I think every single autistic person could answer the test so that they pick the least autistic answer for every question if they wanted to. But I don’t think any autistic person could answer these types of test in a way that is accurate to themselves. At least for me. I literally am focusing on how the questions were made, what they are concluding, and coming up with corner cases for each answer that means none of them apply to me.

  • Thank you. It’s based off the LV Speedy. Grabbed some “questionably legal” hardware to match it. But made it all from raw materials otherwise. Hand stitched it all. Which took many nights sitting on the couch watching podcasts or twitch streams. But it’s honestly my favorite part. Just a nice long relaxing time of craft satisfaction.

Hardest part is that you literally sew it inside out and then have to “birth” (literally the technical term) the bag by flipping the whole thing inside out at the end. Major feelings of anxiety as you hope your stitching and glue hold up during the flip. That’s why the picture has some weird bulge parts. It was taken right after I flipped it. It smoothed out more with time as the leather settled down and I packed the inside with my entire collection of socks and (clean) underwear for a few days to stretch it out.

Working on a raw denim + denim colored suede leather tote now. I wish I could just do work like this as a job. But, no one is gonna pay enough to sustain the labor required unless it has a popular brand name on it.

Though I have ripped apart (to create templates for copying) some old or damaged designer bags I’ve found for cheap, and have been surprised at the lack of actual quality for many of the “high end” brands.

Rant. But, you replied and knew what to expect :) Hell, I could probably talk for 30 minutes on the zippers alone.

Terrorist: A group or individual that at this moment in time should be labeled as terrorists for the benefit of Western Imperialism and/or Capitalist interest. Has no real material or ideological definition and can range from actual violent political organizations that target civilians (example ISIS) while at the same time excluding more horrific groups that engage in the same acts but at the interest of the US state (example IDF). Indivuals or “domestic terrorist” have further vague definitions. “Antifa” being a domestic terrorist organization, despite being an ideology and not an organization. Or individuals like Nelson Mandela were also labeled as terrorist (until 2008). One exception to this vague classification is that no corporation within the US will ever be labeled as such. No matter how much they set our planet on fire or poison our water supplies. Those are just “the side effects of progress”.
