The Ghosts of Lain are a hacker collective that refuses to be bound by corpo slop, and instead believe that everyday people should reclaim their technological destiny. We are hackers who promote self-hosting, de-Googlers and de-Applers who care about privacy, and anti-corporate programmers who fight against capitalism and its evils.

Instance Rules are the same as the Ghosts of Lain Code of Conduct. Please read that for the the official expectations when using this instance. The short summarized version is:

Individuals should never be made to feel unsafe or unvalued due to their age, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, disability, religion, appearance, education, level of expertise, or other factors.
Safety and equity will be prioritized over comfort whenever it is necessary to do so.
Weaponizing one’s own discomfort to deflect accountability or censor an individual (e.g. “white fragility”) is not allowed.
