Lemmy.world defedded several instances recently, ours both are included… you may not see updates from that lemmy.world community unfortunately
So far we over at midwest.social seem to have avoided that fate. We’re kinda “don’t start no ish, won’t be bo ish” kinda folks. But someone is always saying “we need to defederate from xxx right now!”
I think we maybe did defederate from some abandoned instance that was taken over by nazis though.
I heard a new feature will let users block instances they don’t want to see. I think that’ll be a big help.
R/adhd was weird. Didn’t they have a rule against saying the word neurodivergent or something? And a minimum character count required per post? I never had the attention span to read some of those text bricks haha.
I wish it wasn’t all memes, but at least it’s active.

Maybe I’m using Lemmy wrong, but I generally avoid subbing to multiple communities with the same name because it usually results in a lot of duplicate content in my feed.
Maybe this is an exception.
I’m on all the ADHD communities and I appreciate the diversity of servers. Fediverse FTW
