The Dutch coalition government, headed by Geert Wilders’ far-right Freedom party (PVV), is considering sending Africans whose asylum requests are rejected to Uganda, in plans that opposition politicians have said are “totally unfeasible”.

According to geert wilders there is a “refugee crisis” here. Mostly because every time a plan pops up to house more refugees, the town it is planned in will have protests by the residents and it gets shut down. “We want to help the refugees, just not where I can see them” If more towns would agree to plans, the refugees would be more spread out throughout the country, instead of all clumped up in the limited spaces that are available, which causes problems.

Mixing the rich and the poor is a good thing. Most people care at least somewhat about their neighbours. And not clustering people makes it less likely for neighbourhoods to become problematic areas

He makes idiotic claims all the time, they’re not going anywhere though. He’s just an embarrassment

I’m mostly afraid of his plans failing and crashing the whole coalition. Starting another election. Since his party is actually going up in the polls.
