My dad’s conservative friends still insist (as of today) that Project 2025 is just liberal propaganda and it doesn’t really exist. These people are immune to reality.

Reality usually kicks people right in the balls if they ignore it. Hope they enjoy the ride as much as we do.

They will never connect their misfortune with their own actions. Evey problem is the fault of democrats, the woke mob or immigrants. Prices high? Thanks Biden. Lost my Social Security? Trump wouldn’t have killed it if it weren’t for all those immigrants defrauding the system. And so on. They will suffer and use their suffering to justify hurting marginalized groups.

I wonder if they’re immune to polio and civil war.

Fortunately, civil war requires people taking action in-person, so it’s likely not going to happen.

They probably did get the polio vaccine because their parents knew people who had polio.

No one is immune to reality for ever. And reality tends to bite back harder, the longer one ignores it.

But aren’t you glad a message was sent to Democrats that they weren’t X amount better than Republicans than they already were?

Heritage Foundation has been running Republican policy for decades. That’s not obvious to anybody who hasn’t read a significant amount about recent history, but there was no doubt about it for people that have.
