As Firefox is by far my most used app, I find that bookmarking the current tab and describing the task with no more than a few words or even as little as a few chars, to be a good way to keep track of what things I need to do soon. For things I would get to later or whenever I feel like it, I’ll put them in Firefox’s “Boookmarks Menu” or “Other Bookmarks” folders, and have lots of folders consisting of Reddit posts and searches about different topics.
is that not the normal way to use bookmarks? why are you getting so many downvotes?!?!?
OP has 0 downvotes (here on my instance at least) just not a lot of upvotes either.
Also I use them a bit different as shorrcuts for sites I need to visit often so when I have to do stuff for studys or in peivate I can get there very quickly.
to me op has 6 downvotes. maybe look at your settings, i remember after an update i had to turn downvotes back on
edit: (forgot to say it before) i also use them like that, the first ones being things i visit often (but not often enough to remember the link easily), which i leave in specific folders, and the rest is to-do stuff or the same as the other thing but more important
Kinda reminds me of Zotero, the foss app I use for citations/managing sources for research.
Nah Joplin is way more practical for me, but I open every bookmark in advance when I’m gonna have many tasks involving Firefix to do.
I use it in a similar way keep track of homework, linking to the assignment since I have almost no assignments that aren’t online.
There’s a Reading List but I’ve never used it.
As long as bookmarks work as a to-do list, why not, right? Especially because you don’t even have to use folders: “todo” as a tag works just as well.
