He’s too powerful to be put in jail. Plain and simple

Trump’s spokesman Steven Cheung in a statement said. “… There should be no sentencing, and President Trump will continue fighting against these hoaxes until they are all dead.”

No punishment, sounds like the judge is doing a de facto acquittal, not a sentencing.

But like, why no jail? Literally set, convicted, and clearly trying to avoid.

Rhetorical-ish because he’s big P president, but goddamn if this isn’t supposed to be the moment where we say maybe presidents should be jailed when they crime it up.
