An ip is masked by redirecting traffic via some intermediate server(s). Once she encrypts an ip, what does she do, she sends the string via email to colleagues? This is how I understand it… But I might be very wrong

I guess the main point is that this not how one would mask an ip. An ip is masked by redirecting traffic via some intermediate server(s).
