One of the things I learned from “How to Lie with Statistics,” is when an article or ad says “average” thet could mean the mean, median, or mode depending on which fits the desired narrative best. The reader usually assumes the writer is referring to the mean which helps in establishing these misleading narratives.
Average seems like a weird statistic to use here. I’d want to at least also know the median.
