Outcome one: Mexico, Canada, China and later the EU throw Trump something so that he can declare victory, reducing the tariffs, and allowing that man to return to the only thing he excels at, which is watching Fox News and “truthing.”
Outcome two: Mexico, Canada, China and later the EU recognise that Trump is a zero-sum negotiator and stand up to this ridiculous bullying. Inflation returns to America; economies dip back into recession. Trump rails against the Fed and tries to go full Maduro. The rest of his time in office is spent in court while the rest of the world decides that “the devil you know” is not that good an option anymore.
If I were a betting man I’d say one is more likely who knows? Any ideas?
