I agree to a certain point. I’m not going to stop using Reddit totally, but I’ve got to admit that I’ve used it less and less after I started using Lemmy… I rarley go on reddit.
The point is to maybe get more traffic for us. But I do agree with you, traffic is traffic.
They haven’t blanked the “fuck Spez” stuff så maybe they will not blank it out?
Doesn’t matter. Doing place again now is just a desperate attempt to show that numbers and engagement are up after the protests, and using it shows the protests meant nothing.
Delete your Reddit account, uninstall their app, and move on if it really matters to you. Otherwise what’s the point? What good is protesting without action?
I’d like to get lemmy advertised to the Reddit userbase, if people saw how good of an alternative it is, we could start a mass exodus, filling out the userbase on here, more content is more better imo
How is lemmy’s logo on r/place an advertisement? 99.9% of people won’t know what the logo is, and if it’s written, it’ll make no dent to traffic whatsoever.
No, some people just don’t understand that the companies continue getting away with this because they’re right - Reddit is apparently an essential service that people can’t live without.
The best protest would be a blank canvas.
Using reddit at all, even in protest, is what they want. Traffic is traffic to them. We should strive to be perfectly content over here.

Do better and delete Reddit for good
I don’t think r/place is going to sway anyone though. And apparently it requires the Reddit app? No thanks.
