The meme is a lie. Screenshot of the old woman comes from a Jimmy Kimmel live segment where they asked how to get men into bed. No housing prices were asked.
Makes the caption “oh just die already” feel quite cruel
Sounds about right. Almost every one of these caption memes are straight up fake. I just assume they’re all fake and I just laugh at the captions. Anyone who thinks these are real are absolute idiots
Old people are weird. I know some that still think a 90’s Golf Mk.3 is still a new automobile, and the worst ones thought that a teacher can easily afford a newly-built home, because it costed HUF1 000 000 in the previous system, they just need to “make four kids to be eligible for extra tax writeoffs”. I even saw someone, likely in early dementia, that cried when they learned that bread costed way more than HUF100.
I can barely keep to today’s slang why do you expect someone who hasn’t been in the housing market for fifty or sixty years to be current on the prices?
It’s not about being current, it’s the fact they think it’s the same as it was in 1970. Being so wildly outdated impacts how they vote and their views on younger generations.
I think Half Life 2 was released in the last decade so should I die already too?
I read this and thought, “damn, didn’t realize it came out in the 90s”. Then I dawned on me that the last decade was not the 00s.
Ouch.
Maybe we can get a BOGO funeral.
And then play Bingo. The boomers will like that. Old people LOVE Bingo!
Wtf are you saying?
That I’m getting older and out of touch so I’m asking if I should die too?
If you have to pay property tax, you would know what your home is valued at.
Where I live seniors can defer property taxes on house they own after sixty-five so not always.
You know that this meme is fake as shit right?
My shit is real.
No cap
Because they vote
“Almost Beatrice, just put a 1 and a 0 in front of it”
