Snagged a hybrid role in commercial lending and my old Das Keyboard I was using at home had some broken switches (including the numpad + which I need frequently). Used some of my cashed out vacation time from leaving my old job to make the upgrade.

  • Keychron Q5 Pro

  • Gateron Milky Yellow Pro Switches

  • KBDiy GMK Shoko Clones (going to upgrade when the time is right but needed something for now) - Been eyeing some Osume Dusks but they’re out of stock.

  • Bell’s Oberon Eclipse beer which oddly ended up matching the caps that came today.

How does the QMK firmware on keychron work with wireless mode? I thought QMK doesn’t work over Bluetooth.

How is the wireless range of your keychron?

Mine isn’t wireless. The Q13 Pro is, and several others are too.

Looking at their site, they don’t seem to use ZMK for the wireless so I guess it’s their own firmware? I’m not sure, they don’t explain it on the product page.

Got it. Yeah, even the k2 pro is listed as wireless, I just don’t understand how it’s possible to use QMK wirelessly.

Maybe they’ve ported the ZMK wireless stuff?

I admit I’ve only used Via with this keyboard. I use QMK for my mouse (layers FTW) but the keyboard I’ve been lazy lol
