    Championship points were always awarded.

    Last year they had qualifying for the sprint race and the sprint position determined your grid position for the full race.

    This year they have qualifying for the full race, then qualifying for the sprint race and your position in the sprint race has no bearing on the full race.

    It’s like a mini race weekend in the middle of the actual race weekend.

      thanks for this. I’m normally up to date with the main rules but for some reason never payed attention to the ones for the sprint.
