Not too long now until lemmy-0.18.0
gets released.
Looks like Captchas have been restored after they been initially removed from 0.18.X
and then removed again. It’s getting funny!

TL;DR: lemmy-0.18.0
has been released without support for Captchas 💣
I have the feeling that 0.18.0 will not get released until captchas have be re-added …
Ouch, lemmy.ml has installed
0.18.0-rc.6
and so far there are no further commits tomain
. We appear to be very close to the first0.18.X
release while captchas have not been restored yet.An approved PR to restore captchas (merged to main but reverted again)
The Race is on!
Update: PR has been merged to main. Captchas have been restored.
Update: PR has been reverted. Captchas have been removed again.
Update: PR has been re-created: #3289
Update:
0.18.0
has been released without Captchas. Also my post created on lemmy.world does not appear to be updated on lemmy.wtf or rather no updates to posts and comments seem to be pushed at all.
Yea, the delay is huge. I’ve also seen some comments suddenly showing up on lemmy.wtf from lemmy.world that are hours old.
I sometimes pull them by searching for them using the
lemmy.world
URL on mylemmy.wtf
account. Those *pulled comments then show up onlemmty.wtf
with 0 votes …But this only works for new comments, i. e. I cannot pull changes to existing comments. This whole federation thing is pretty broken, if you ask me.
It is, but it’s still in early development.
I hope they also will change the way instances discover each other. It’s silly that you would need to subscribe to every single community on another instance, before they show up in search on your own instance.
