Yeah yeah, rainbow capitalism and all that, but honestly, in a year when so-called “allies” seem all too eager to abandon the LGBTQ community, it’s nice to see AEW still trumpeting their involvement with Pride, supporting Dallas Pride monetarily, and giving LGBTQ performers a stage.
Now they just need to get Nyla Rose back on TV, because goddamn I love her.
ok i love the fact that anthony bowens is directly involved but that design is meh. also i love it going to pride orgs in texas because they need the help but i hate that they’re still rewarding texas with all in (it’s not the same level as saudi but i wish companies would get to the level they did against starts who attack trans ppl like they did the first time north carolina did it in 2016)
I hear you there. I actually made the choice not to go to All In this year, even though I could have made the drive, because it’s in Texas and I don’t think I would feel safe there. I mean, I’m not transitioning, I’m just genderfluid, but it’s not like bigots are picky, you know?
But I do applaud the decision to support Dallas Pride, because if anybody needs help right now, it’s LGBTQ+ organizations in Texas.
Shit even I wouldn’t go to Texas and I’m a fat 40yo white cis guy with a white beard who could visually blend in.
(And that’s before you factor in A) being Canadian, B) having a Transmasc enby spouse lol)
if you change your name to ted and learn to lie a lot, you could be a senator in texas though.
I’d guarantee all Texans a working power grid 12 months out of the year but that’d mean I wouldn’t get voted in since some dark skinned folk wouldn’t freeze in the winter. Oh well.
