People really are clueless when they have a certain idea of you built up in their head. I would have strangers thinking I was a girl without question while people I’d known for years struggle to adjust. Any obvious hints would go against that image hard enough to get straight up ignored

My oblivious ass absolutely would have done the same. Doesn’t help that I’m nonbinary myself so I don’t have a very good sense of “girl stuff” vs “boy stuff” at all. So brain would have absolutely went “Homie committed to the bit and found a bunch of stuff they actually liked. That’s amusing.”
