The temari started with a dark blue thread base. The big flowers are red, pink and white, the stars are yellow and the bursts are white and yellow. The construction lines are gold.
Extra description: an embroidered ball about the size of a tennis ball. The ball is wrapped in thread, divided geometrically with a single thread and then embroidered following those construction lines. In this case, the lines intertwine to form pointy flowers, with bursts of threads between them.
That looks really cool. That is very thin thread. Is the entire ball the same size thred or is it thick go create the structure and gets thin at the end?

Yes it starts with a core made of fabric scraps, and then wrapped in thinner and thinner yarn and then finally thread.
I would say making the ball itself takes me about an evening, and then several hours for marking and embroidery. I usually make these in short sessions and I finish one in a week or two.
