I see a lot of chatter these days on piefed as an alternative to Lemmy.

I’d like to know if the admins have any thoughts on that topic in general and in relation to Europe.pub.

    As far as I know it’s pretty much impossible to change software, as soon as federation happened.

    If more people in the community are interested in a Piefed version of Europe Pub, I’m happy to spin up an instance on a sub domain (e.g. piefed.europe.pub).

    But the root domain europe.pub will almost certainly be always on Lemmy.

      I am very interested and would love to experiment with a piefed instance if you made one, assuming of course it’s also interesting for you and not overly demanding to setup and maintain.
