Here’s the definition of a prank: a practical joke or mischievous act A practical joke or prank is a trick played on people, generally causing the victim to experience embarrassment, perplexity, confusion, or discomfort. No laughter required.
minus-squareCrazyslinkz@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up4·edit-216 hours ago No mention of laughter even being a factor. I shared the part where it mentioned it being a factor. No, not required, but overall or most or more than half or more frequently or insert synonym here for most… Generally a good practical joke will have the victim to be able to laugh after the fact and not be like you assaulted me. Assault isn’t a joke. Since you don’t know what most means you may not know what assault means … violent physical attack, as with blows.

minus-squareCrazyslinkz@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·edit-216 hours agoYeah and the person I’m responding to said threw it as a prank What I’m saying, it’s it doesn’t matter the intent, assault isn’t a joke. Throwing objects that can potentially cause injury isn’t a practical joke at all.
