This enables pass-through charging for your device without needing an extra adapter hanging off your steam deck and a separate cable connecting your charger to the adapter. The ergonomics and simplicity of having a single cable running from your device to your charger and one from your charger to your glasses is unmatched. This also works with any display and input device that have DP Alt enabled USB C ports (portable monitors, switch and other handhelds, phones that already work with the glasses, etc). If you need a longer connection to your outlet you can just use a power extension cable.
