One other thing I noticed is how strongly the background lines are affected by the camera’s plane angle. If you point downward to a subject near the ground the background will rotate. It looks awful, yet somehow the brain fixes at least some of it. It would be nice to be able to adjust the mirrors to cancel that. The articulation needed basically requires a ball joint with adjustments. It would be a completely different adapter, but not impossible to design.
This adapter had normal 2nd surface mirrors. It works just great but zooming in you see that you’re not getting full resolution.
I thought about this for a bit because the normal mirrors are so cheap and I have a ton of them now. The little bit of fuzziness doesn’t really detract too much. The center line is more concerning so I addressed that on later revs.
