There are roads with these displays to show the faces to shame those who cross the streets when the lights aren’t green and whatnot.
Sometimes you get hilarious ones like this dog lol
How prevalent is this? My impression was that this was tested on a limited scale then ended because it was unpopular. I might’ve confused it for something else though.
Haven’t seen anything about them ending or removing these, but currently it looks like it’s on a limited scale with a few different regions testing them.
Some are on large screens next to traffic cameras, others are installed under pedestrian crossing lights lol.
If liberals find out we’re good for an avalanche of cringe memes

Besides how awful this website is, with all the stuff popping up and in, and having something breaking the article every 2-3 paragraph, can the journos write even a single thing about China without “uighurs” and Xinjiang in it?

It’s a mixed shit bag, isn’t it?
It’s a newspaper by *xpats for *xpats lmao.
I’m just surprised they managed to go the whole article without mentioning Tienanmen square. I guess Xinjiang is just the same sentiment.
Can’t believe the “surveillance state” of China has stricter privacy laws than the US
