I’m trying to switch to vaping oil. I’ve started using the UNI Pro 2.0. I can’t stop these extended coughing fits. I have it at the lowest voltage. I pre-heat. I take a very short hit. But more often than not, I ended up coughing for 15 minutes.

Was really looking forward to transitioning to vaping but have been extremely disappointed. Is there anything that cane be done about this or should I just back to combustion?

I’ve found you have to approach it a bit differently, take a much smaller hit than you normally would, like half, even if you don’t feel it in your lungs yet… then take the rest of the breath of fresh air, inhale and exhale in a fluid manner you don’t need to hold it in too long or at all.

Indeed, if I take less than second per hit, I get the coughing fit less often although sometimes I still do. If I take too big of one I could be coughing for 10 minutes.

I tried vaping some liquid once and had to cough a lot. Dry herb vaporization has been the best type of inhalation for me so far.

I have a Pax 2 which is alright. The problem is my lazy ass will just pack a bowl instead of cleaning and charging the Pax, which has a very short battery life.

search for glass bubbler for xmax starry 4, it fits most vapes, some vapes have might require a different connector but the idea is the same

there is some vapes with integrated bubblers but i dont remember the name

Vape the herb, and not carts?

Try running the vapour through a hot water bong.

I find rosin / dry vape that don’t add anything are better than whatever garbage they are putting in the oils. The local shop should have answers.

It may very well be the oil itself if your buying a generic THC cartridge who knows what they put in as filler. Stay away from the disposable carts and pens IMO.

If you are really interested in switching to vaping for health reason you should try a proper dry herb vape like dynavap which can do both straight herb and concentrate dab vaporization. Can’t get smoother than a high quality concentrate vapor at lower temp pulled through some cold ice.

Did you smoke pure or spliffs? Loads of people have trouble smoking/vaping straight herb after smoking mostly herb/tobacco mixes before. They aren’t used to the harsher weed smoke without the nicotine numbing their throat.

That is spot on! I grew up in the 90s with mixed joints, I can’t smoke pure herbs without throwing a fit. It is somewhat tolerable with a good vape and long hardened homegrown, but I still prefer my oldschool bong-mix. At least we have active coal filters these days…

the voltage may be too low, i find 2.6-3.2v works on my uni pro plus. you might prefer live or cured resin too.
