If you read the early history of the founding of the United States, you see it’s full of using “media” to influence the populace. Democracy has never been intelligent people having arguments without logical fallacies and convincing each other the best path forward.

true - but perhaps we have settled for “good enough’ish”, and stopped looking for something better? 🤔 any newer types of governance?
