Crazy to claim chicken and beef prices are down.

I’ve been buying goat, lamb and duck which are all cheaper than ground beef. Duck is cheaper than hamburger! And imported boneless leg of lamb is almost on par with hamburger. Even in bulk, it’s wildly expensive compared to most other meats. Absolutely insane.

And the beef quality has gotten way, way worse. I splurged for a ribeye on Valentine’s and holy shit not only was it nearly $20/lbs., it was almost flavorless. Appalling. American beef is a joke.

Chicken seems only a little more expensive than it was, at least when I buy in bulk at Costco. Smaller quantities have gotten more expensive, though.

He’s right eggs have gotten cheap again, but not to pre-pandemic costs.
