Iran is fucking around too much. Azeri military is rather competent, they can take over the Iranian Azerbaijan.
They’re definitely risking other surrounding nations jumping in on the side of the US and Israel. Nobody wants to be the first one to do so, but who’s to say that when one of them has had enough and starts acting, it won’t greenlight the others to do the same? There’s no upper limit to how messy this can get.
“We demand that the Islamic Republic of Iran clarify the matter in the shortest possible time, provide an explanation and take the necessary urgent measures to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.”
Something tells me they won’t.
So there’s an azerbaijani population in NW Iran, it would be suprising if America wasn’t trying to arm them and start a succession movement.
