It’s not just that they replaced the OG…

It’s that they went with a (completely competent) but insanely generic actress.

Like, yeah it’s cool that they’re on 4th generation Jamie Presley clones and all, but if you’re gonna recast, recast for a reason.

If she’s gonna be a “Young Avenger” and would need to carry a solo movie or two…

They should have gotten a better actor. It’s not that she’s bad and I’ve probably seen her in a bunch of stuff, she just blends in.

The original actor could handle anything the new one could, seems pointless to recast.

    Quick edit:

Like, that’s all besides the point that she doesn’t like anything that would come out of mingling Paul Rudd and Evangline Lilly, the OG could plausibly be their daughter.

And they swapped her out for a conventionally attractive blonde.

Evangeline Lillys character would have had nothing to do with Cassie Langs genetics. It was Paul Rudd and Judie Greers characters that had Cassie. Cassie was born years before Scott ever heard of Hope or Hank Pym.

I completely blanked she was in the Marvel movies.

Yeah, it makes a little more sense then.
