This is absolutely foolish. Resistance training is good for everyone, not just dumb jock cisheads.
If you’re going to grow old, you’ll thank yourself every day of your life if you train up mobility. You’ll be an 80 year old still walking around under your own power instead of one feebly fumbling for your life alert when the challenge of two consecutive steps defeats you.
Not sure if I am getting wooshed with your comment but here are my 2 cents:
Its mostly genetics. Of course living healthy and exercising helps a lot. But whether you are fit in your 80s is mostly genetic lottery and luck. And being able to exercise your whole life is part of having luck, too.
The screenshot is about lifting too much weight. Which is quite the opposite of “train up mobility”.
That being said, the text is hillarious and great.
Nope, it is not about genetics. That is a total misconception. Strength training makes a HUGE difference, even if you’re going to end up with arthritis.
