I bought it because I liked how it looks. It’s ok to ride too, weighing only slightly more than Portugal. Needs a bit of tlc.

My bike when I lived in the Netherlands was somewhat more scary. It was a rattly old thing with poor brakes. Almost rode it into Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal once by accident.

Yep, 100% For longer trips I have other bikes, but they’re all single speed or fixed gear. I’m a simple man, so I’m into simple things and dislike mechanical complexity of derailleurs and such. To be honest I’m not sure that even freewheel is such a great invention… ;P

No I’m pretty sure it was a person (without fleas). Or a flea with a really good human costume.
Flea market is something akin to a second hand store / goodwill / yard sale in europe.

This like it’s in incredibly good condition and will keep rolling for years to come
I wouldn’t dream of ruining this beautiful thing that will likely last decades or better part of a century with fragile (and ugly) tech that will be obsolete or broken in a few years.
