What if tanggalin na daw yung night shift dito sa work… actually pabor ang mga tao dito. I guess nobody really wants to do night shift. Heck, I don’t like it either. We just make it bearable.

Ang weird pala kapag nagpa check up ka sa workplace mo tapos kilala mo lang yung mga people. What if I was diagnosed with a disease tapos may stigma? What if I just want to keep it private? So weird.

It is tempting to do day shift. But as a nighter, malapit lang kasi work, so night = less traffic at least most of the time. I’m all for 6 am to 3 pm but the lines man, just parang nakakahinayang lang na nagising ka ng maaga para wala kang kasama, which is exactly what a few thousand people also thought at that moment lol.

Alas, but it is what it is. Do what is best for you, as talagang ymmv whether you want to be a day or night shifter.

Sana cheater nalang jowa ko mas madali pa sanang bumitaw. Hindi kagaya ng ganto na araw araw ako nakakatanggap ng verbal at emotional abuse na parang basahan lang ako tas di ko malaman kung bakit.

Does the Data Privacy Act of 2012 have the same powers as the GDPR or CCPA in that it will compel companies and corporations to delete data from users in Philippine territory?

PH companies can delete data from their database. The irony here is that you need to submit rigorous documents to them, and it will take them 30 days tops to delete your data.

I requested GCash to delete my former account linked to my old, forgotten mobile number last year, and yes they deleted “some of it”. I say some of it, kasi under sila sa AMLC na dapat may data retention ang mga deleted account minimum of five years, ten is max. ePhilID (or any valid ID) former mobile number, at letter need nila. I dunno kung ganito pa rin ngayon.

Tried requesting data deletion sa Shopee, but they need interview or video chat. Wtf? This was a year ago.

1 year ago, I received my snack box from Reddit. May mga Starbucks frappe bottles pa sa ilalim niyan. That’s about it from them. Fuck Spez pa rin!

Been trying the Lemmy apps that have come out and I like the look and feel of thunder best, at the moment I think I’ll be using this 3rd party app

      Sleepless.

I’m guessing either something that stopped him from going to sleep has to do. Or meth.

The suspect’s wife said he hadn’t slept in three days. So we presumed his mental health was affected.

I’ve experienced bouts of being awake for more than 36 hours (I think there’s even a time I’ve been awake for 72 hours–my memory of that time is really fuzzy), and I can attest that at such times I’m irritable and yet slow to react at the same time. It’s a really strange state of mind to be in.

I am guessing, just out of my ass, that some kind of mania (a manic episode) is involved.

Regardless, I hope this incident leads to the man getting the help he needs.

        EDIT:

Shit, kulang pa ako sa gising. Damn. I’m sorry. Pagkakaintindi ko kanina, nabaril lang.

24 ang nagawa ko, and I have to say I don’t want to to it again. I’ve become more assertive when it comes to sleep time now. Di ko mapakawalan ang 8 hours sleep time, 1 to 4 hours if shit really needs to be done, but I still have to sleep somehow.

On recharge time, I only remember once na natulog ako ng 6 am and woke up around 9 or 10 pm (?) that evening. Luckily I didn’t feel dizzy or anything, but quite well rested. Hungry AF tho.

On a sort of relevant note, this was around the time I stumbled upon the sickness Fatal Familial Insomnia (FFI), which is basically a disorder that can be passed down wherein the affected person dies slowly because they can’t sleep.

Experts estimate that only 100 people in 30 families across Europe, China, Japan, Australia, and the U.S. are carriers of the gene that causes this disease.

Source is WebMD. That’s like a terrible death sentence for a family.

          Scary shit.

My personal record is 30hrs straight. Mabuti nakauwi na ko bago magshut down yung katawan ko. Tapos tulog 14hrs straight.

Buti na lang! I can’t imagine doing anything remotely productive at such situations too.

And that 14h recharge, lol! At my worst, I’ve had days where I’d sleep for around 18 hours (after being awake for ~30 hours), even got to a 24h+ sleeping spree, but the feeling after such a long sleep, not that great either. Parang nakukulangan pa ako sa tulog.

It’s just unhealthy: too much wakefulness and too much sleep.

Ika nga nila, “anuhin mo na ang lasing, wag lang ang bagong palaging gising.”

I may have had learned the wrong version of the saying. 😂

But the thread is about people wanting to get an abortion if they knew the child would have a deformity, not if the child was an accident. Contraceptives are irrelevant in that discussion.

I just went on a mini killing spree of cockroaches. Ugh, it was disgusting, but it would’ve been more disgusting if I just let them go. And then I had to clean everything kasi may amoy sila that’s even more annoying i don’t even want to talk about it 😤

May nag-attempt pa lumipad. You’re not getting away. It was like playing whack-a-mole with my shoe. Feeling ko medyo lumabas yung pent up rage ko in the process. It was still disgusting, plz

I miss my room, I miss my bed, gusto ko na umuwi. Na-trigger ata yung allergies ko dito.

I’m more than willing to give the developers and contributors a lot of leeway given that I’m convinced that Lemmy (and Kbin for that matter) is woefully unprepared to deal with the flood of users from Reddit and everything that it entails, such as more activity overwhelming not just servers, but also the infrastructure itself.

I’m also severely small-brained to understand a lot of the technical discussion in the thread you’ve linked, but one of the links in that thread lead me to this interesting discussion.

While that kind of drama isn’t really productive (I’d rather that the devs, contributors, instance admins and anyone else in the larger discussion about Lemmy and its infrastructure happening all around us), it’s entertaining to watch but on the other hand, sadly reinforces the stereotypes about “nerds not having social skills”.
