It’s kind of a worldwide phenomenon. I remember some guy showed the same pricing cycle in Austrian supermarkets. IMO There has to be more open source solutions to combat price information asymmetry eg. A browser extension that modifies the seller site with an indicator that shows we are in a fake discount period.
